Everything You Need To Know About Today's Aus One-Dayer

For the past few years, we've celebrated Australia Day with an epic game of backyard cricket thanks to our great mates at John Boston Beer.

But this year we're moving UP, which means that today's the day you get to have a barbie and a bat from a city rooftop.

We're ready to go and we know you're ready to go, so here's what you need to know.

Where: The Sky Terrace at The Star.

80 Pyrmont St, Pyrmont, NSW 2009

When: 12-3pm, Friday January 26

Who: You, a mate, cricketing legend Mark Waugh and The Grill Team's Gus Worland

What: Today is going to be about all things Australian: a BBQ, backyard cricket with Mark Waugh and classic Aussie tracks from our house band The Big Big Sound. Plus we'll be broadcasting live from the event

11.45am: Registration opens.

12pm: The Aus One-Dayer gets underway! Keep an eye out for The Grill Team's Gus Worland, who'll be around for a chat/ some cricketing tips.

1pm: First ball means backyard cricket is officially open for play.

1.20pm: It's Mark Waugh time! We'll be grilling the strokemaker live on Facebook before he heads over to the cricket pitch.

2.30pm: We'll be live on Facebook again to make sure you don't miss a minute of the action.

3pm: And that's a wrap on another amazing year. If anyone needs us, we'll be sitting in the corner looking at all of the amazing photos and behind-the-scenes videos from this afternoon on Instagram. And having a John Boston Beer, obviously.

Where: The Triple M Rooftop

257 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne, VIC, 3205

When: 12-4pm, Friday January 26

Who: You, a mate, cricket's own Merv Hughes and AFL superstar Leigh Montagna

What: Today is going to be a huge game of backyard cricket from the Triple M Rooftop overlooking the Melbourne skyline. We'll have tunes from our own house band The Noisy Johnnies, a live broadcast from the event by Triple M's Digby and Dangerous Dave plus plenty of snags on the barbie.

11.45am: Registration opens.

12pm: The Aus One-Dayer gets underway! The Noisy Johnnies will get the party started with some classic Aussie songs.

12.30pm: The man himself, Merv Hughes, will have a word of welcome and our BBQs will be fired up. And then it's time for cricket.

1.20pm: We'll be grilling the fast bowler live on Facebook. Should be a cracking chat!

2pm: Is that Leigh Montagna we see? What a legend!

2.30pm: It's time for another chat, this time with the AFL superstar. You won't want to miss it.

3pm: We'll be live on Facebook again with all the action from the Triple M Rooftop.

4pm: And that's a wrap on an awesome Australia Day. Luckily we'll have plenty of photos and videos on Instagram to remind us of the good times.
