A P-plate driver is set to face court after being arrested for driving under the influence three times within five hours in north-west New South Wales yesterday.
A 34-year-old man was stopped on Newell Highway in Narrabri at around 6pm yesterday following complaints from other drivers.
He allegedly blew a reading of 0.136 and was issued with a court notice and his licence suspended.
Just before 8pm he was stopped and allegedly returned a positive test again, issued another court notice and given conditional bail.
Then at around 10:30pm the cops stopped him for a third time, when he allegedly recorded a reading of 0.097 and was charged with driving while suspended and breaching bail.
Presumably it will be a long time before he’s on the road again.
