"DOING IT FOR MUM" | Jackie & Mande Chasing Local Hero Award

They're generosity is being recognised

"DOING IT FOR MUM" | Jackie & Mande Chasing Local Hero Award Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia

Jackie and Mande Jager from Pentland Caravan Park are in the running to win a $5000 Local Hero community grant.

The sisters have been running the park for 18 years, since their parents noticed it was for sale.

Over the years the Jager family have been long time supporters of the RFDS with Jackie & Mande's mother giving constant donations.

The sisters know that if their mother was still with them, she'd want them to keep the support going for the RFDS.

The family donate a cabin free of accommodation costs each month, which the RFDS are very appreciative of.

Voting closes tomorrow for the 2018 Queensland Royal Flying Doctors Service Local Hero

Nine worthy nominees have been selected for the Local Hero Awards, due to their outstanding contributions to the RFDS.

Jackie and Mande are relying on the votes of locals for them to be the stand out winners.

If you'd like to support the local business, vote here to show your appreciation.
