Townsville’s very own hip hop-slash-country-slash-rock-slash-reggae lovechildren, King Social, will celebrate their most successful year to date with the annual King’s Christmas party on Saturday. The band, whose upcoming LP is already Australia’s highest ever crowd-funded debut, are expected to pack the Quayside Terminal for their final show of 2016. King Social’s front man Angus Milne said King’s Christmas was always their biggest show of the year. “This is the fourth straight year we’ve held King’s Christmas, and we definitely think it’ll be the best yet with everything that’s happened over the past 12 months,” said Milne. “We’ve already sold more pre-sale tickets than ever before”.
The boys have just returned home after a mini New South Wales tour where they played at the iconic Luna Park. Angus went on to say “We have a lot to celebrate and there’s no way we’d rather do it than with the hometown crowd that’s backed us from the start.
King’s Christmas will be held at the Quayside Terminal this Saturday, 17 December 2016. King Social will be supported by Cairns’ Drewboy and the Sax Addicts as well as local DJs. Tickets are available from townsvilletickets.com.au.
