The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is celebrating its annual Baby’s Day Out event on Sunday, 29 October at the Townsville Train Park.
The Townsville group are having a Morning Tea in the Park between 10am-12noon.
All parents, and expecting parents are invited to celebrate breastfeeding and helping mothers feel comfortable to feed anywhere, anytime.
Baby’s Day Out takes place in October every year, with the aim of celebrating breastfeeding and helping mothers feel comfortable to feed anytime, anywhere.
ABA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kate Nuttall, says that the support for a mother to breastfeed can make a world of difference, particularly for those who may feel vulnerable feeding in public.
‘Mothers are protected by law and have the right to breastfeed whenever and wherever they choose. However, the reality is that many still feel uncomfortable and judged for feeding in public. ABA is doing everything we can to help change this way of thinking’, Ms Nuttall said.
