Townsville 'Coffee Lady' Revving Up To Support CanTeen

They're aiming to raise 10K!

Townsville 'Coffee Lady' Revving Up To Support CanTeen

The Coffee Guy Townsville East is parking her van and gearing up her bike to join over three-hundred motorcyclists as they ride to raise much-needed funds for CanTeen - the charity supporting young people living with cancer.

Franchise partner Andrea Brown will take part in the ride on Saturday 27 May, joining hundreds of other community members for an afternoon cruise, as they aim to raise over $10,000 for the charity.
“This event is deemed to be the single biggest fundraiser for CanTeen Australia wide and its great knowing that you can make a difference to the lives of young people,” she said.
“It’s very important to support our youth and CanTeen can provide a lot of help to connect young people in similar situations to help them realise that they’re not alone.”
The event has been running for six consecutive years and today attracts over three-hundred motorcycles and participants that ride through the Townsville community for the cause.
“We’ve gone from only fifty people participating initially, to hundreds this year, and it’s incredible to see how much support we are getting.
“We aim to meet our fundraising target and encourage the community to rally together to help reach this goal,” Andrea said.
CanTeen is recognised for organising events all across Australia in hopes to help those between the ages of 12-25 that have had their world turned upside down from cancer, through connecting them with others, providing counselling and support for youth in need.
Riders will begin their journey at SunCity Harley Davidson at 3pm and ride through the streets of Townsville.
